Greece misses IMF loan repayment deadline on June 30th and becomes the first country in the developed world to ever default on an IMF loan
Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras gives creditors hope by sending a letter to the country's creditors agreeing to accept most conditions of bailout. However, European markets fall for a further day as Fitch downgrades Greece's credit rating due to the fear of default.
